In the pursuit of this goal, the Tax Area of the Firm offers the following specialized services:
- Permanent Tax Advisory Work: Permanent assistance to our clients aiding them to keep in due compliance with current tax regulations. This includes the review of all tax returns, encouraging our clients to develop a tax management culture both in respect of local and international operations. Additionally, we provide guidance for the making of corporate decisions with important tax implications.
- Tax Consulting: Provision of specific tax consulting in regard to specific business topics or transactions.
- Tax Planning: In line with the dynamics that the globalized world of today stamps upon economic flows, the Area offers strategic investment planning services, both for investments in Colombia and abroad of both Colombian and foreign investors, keeping in mind their investment goals when implementing their investment schemes. The Firm has for this a team of experts in the design and implementation of cross-border legal investment structures, efficient business schemes and specific cross-border transactions relating to Colombia, Latin America, North America or Europe, which provides in addition assistance that seeks to optimize the economic, financial, tax and trade resources of our clients, as well as to assess and mitigate the possible legal contingencies associated with the investment.
- Transfer Pricing: Assistance to our clients which are subject to Colombian transfer pricing regulations, by making the preliminary studies, preparing the substantiating documentation and providing guidance in the preparation of informative TP returns. Additionally, we assist our client as their attorneys in case litigation arises with the tax authorities, both during the administrative proceedings an in the tax courts.
- Legal Stability Contracts: Provision of advice to local and foreign investors which plan to pursue investment projects in the country within the framework of legal stability contracts.
